About Me
I am a Louisiana native now living in Savannah, Georgia. I made the low country my home a little over 2 years ago. My husband and I have been married 47 years, have three grown children, and four wonderful grandchildren. As a stay-at-home mom, I pursued art endeavors that fit the different stages of my growing family like graphic design, custom calligraphy, murals, and custom faux finishes. A few years ago, as I entered my empty nest stage of life, I refreshed my oil painting skills and took my art in yet another direction. Daily I am inspired by the beauty around me. In Savannah, in may be a 300 year old oak tree dripping with moss. In Colorado, it is the splendor of the Aspens in September. In Louisiana, it is the bayous and farm land. Wherever I am, I see the beauty of God's creation and am inspired to capture it on canvas.
My Work
My paintings are oil on canvas. My brush strokes are more than an impression but stop short of tight realism. I see the world as a beautiful, massive painting with God as the Creator. Each of my paintings is a teeny tiny facet of that masterpiece. I love color and beauty and hope that my paintings convey the loveliness and creativity and beauty of the world around us.
Sola Deo Gloria.
